Deadline 2008: raw milk under threat in California

Yo California — we've got a problem

I just spotted this over at The Ethicurean: Innovative process turns any vegetable organic in seconds. That’s a dream come true, but I’ll leave it to you to decide:

… announcement this morning of a new process that transforms conventionally raised produce into organic, instantly and at almost no cost.

News of the discovery reached the Washington Post just after midnight, in a press release from a little-known group called Favoring the Right of Americans to a Wholesome Diet. The organization’s letterhead describes it as "A Spontaneous, Grassroots Coalition of Real Americans, Just Like You and Your Neighbors, with No Links to Food Industry Giants Such as Monsanto, Kraft, or Smithfield."

I went to the site to read the rest of this and found more than a few other articles over there of great interest. I like their attitude and tongue-in-cheek reporting approach. I even saw a comment from you at the blog.

In fact, I read a great review of Michael Pollan’s new book, IN DEFENSE OF FOOD, An Eater’s Manifesto, at the Ethicurian. Since I’m listening to it on tape presently, it was interesting to see its deserved excellent review.

The readers might check out Monsanto in their humor section — a good piece of ?satire?.

    Interesting stuff, isn’t it?
