In my opinion it is. You see, organic food is just food that was grown without pesticides, herbicides and the like. Or, if meats, was produced without hormones, antibiotics, etc.

So it's food as food was meant to be, and was generally produced that way many years ago.

While it is more expensive than conventionally produced food (which means "non-organic food"), I like the statement I read recently — that conventional food prices are artificially low due to the methods of production.

Me, I'd rather have my food not sprayed with poison, however purportedly "little" poison that might be, and however purportedly "little" it might affect me.

Lynn, this was a terrific article, as it points out the effects beyond consuming toxins that are caused by using pesticides and the like on soil.
